Care & Maintenance

Updates, backups, monitoring, and small fixes for vibe-coded and AI-built sites — handled monthly so your website stays boring. From $290/mo.

Our care plans start at $290 a month and exist to answer the question every AI-built website eventually asks: who is taking care of this thing? Updates, daily backups, uptime and security monitoring, a monthly performance check, and an hour of real fixes — handled, so your site stays the most boring thing you own.

Who this is for

Anyone running a WordPress or WooCommerce site — ours, yours, or one an AI built for you in a weekend. Static sites barely need maintenance (that is half their charm, and we say so in the maintenance cost breakdown), but a CMS is software, and software that nobody updates becomes a security story with your name in it.

The two plans

Care — $290/mo Priority — $900/mo
Core + plugin updates, tested on staging Weekly Weekly
Off-site backups Daily Daily
Uptime + security monitoring Yes Yes
Hands-on work included 1 hour/mo 4 hours/mo
Performance check Monthly Monthly
Response time 1 business day Same day, front of line
Emergency fixes Billed hourly Counted in your hours

Both start with a two-month minimum, then run month to month. No annual contract, no exit fee, and the backups are yours if you ever leave.

What “1 hour of fixes” covers in practice

Swapping homepage photos, adding a staff member, fixing the form that stopped sending after a plugin update, tweaking a headline, adding a new FAQ. Small, real, constant — the stuff that otherwise sits on your to-do list for six weeks. Bigger jobs get a flat quote before we touch anything.

We did not build your site? Still fine.

About half of care-plan inquiries are for sites someone vibe coded themselves — which we think is great, that is literally what our free library is for. New non-client sites start with a quick onboarding audit ($450, one time) so we know what we are signing up to keep alive. If the audit finds fires, you get the rescue pricing before any plan starts.

Fair questions

Can’t I just do this myself?

Sure — budget 2-4 hours a month for updates, backup checks, and the occasional broken thing, plus staying calm at 11pm when an update whitescreens the site. Plenty of owners do it happily. The plan exists for the ones who did the math on their own hourly rate.

What if my site is hacked right now?

That is not a care plan, that is triage — go to rescue. Cleanup first, then a plan so it does not happen twice.

Do you maintain static sites?

Usually there is nothing to maintain, which is why we steer brochure sites static in the first place. If you want monitoring plus a monthly hour for content changes on a static site, we do a lighter $150/mo arrangement — ask.

Why a two-month minimum?

Month one is always heavier: onboarding, cleanup, the backlog of small broken things. Two months gives the plan a fair shot at showing what “handled” feels like.

What does website maintenance cost per month here?

Care is $290 per month, Priority is $900. Market maintenance plans run from $50 to several hundred monthly, usually with the actual work left vague — ours lists it: updates, daily backups, monitoring, a real hour of fixes, and a human inside one business day.
